After a very successful AGM, we are delighted to introduce you to the new Bristol Art Fringe Exec Committee. We would like to thank the previously committee members and the extended team for working so hard and tirelessly since 2007 to create BAF and the trails so far.

Marcus FitzGibbon becomes Vice Chair
Alex Lucas becomes Secretary
Ali Gileard becomes Treasurer.

We still need help in these areas:
Press & Marketing, music & performance, venue co-ordination

If anyone has any additional areas that they would like to help in or suggestions, please shout them loudly. We need many hands on deck to make this possible.

We agreed to organize an Art Trail in Montpelier & St Paul’s on Sunday and Monday, 5-6th May 2013, directly following the Picton Street Fayre on the Saturday, enabling artists to take part in both events. This calls for a super fast turn around and because of this the deadline for printed map inclusion is March 29th, as we need to go to print at the beginning of April.

This year, we will have even less group space than before due to previous group venues being developed. In order to preserve the vitality of the trail and provide diversity, we wish to continue to keep the trail open to those that are unable to afford to live in an area with an art trail of their own. In order to do this, we urge those artists with homes in the area to use them rather than request group venue space. And we also encourage them to offer space to other artists if they can. Please could everyone also lobby their friends and neighbours to open their homes to artists, even if they are not artists themselves.

We will be holding a trail meeting at The Cadbury on Richmond Road at 7pm on March 12th. This will be followed by a Picton Street Fayre meeting at 8pm. All your info in one place! We aim to have a meeting every tuesday until April, if anyone has a strong need for another day, please get in touch with your preferred day asap and we’ll see what we can do.
